Recommendations
In the “Recommendations” section of the CNMP, the planner identifies the various actions that the farm manager could take to improve the farm’s nutrient management, to increase farm productivity, to comply with necessary regulations, and generally, to solve problems identified in the previous section of the CNMP. Manure management, soil tillage, crop rotation, fertilization plan, liming program are all addressed in the recommendations. “Best management practices” (BMPs) concerning the animal production area are presented in table form with an implementation schedule. A timeline is given so that the farm does not miss compliance deadlines imposed by the applicable permits and regulations.
